Where we tackle the psychological barriers to wellbeing and health in midlife.
It has always been my belief that the biggest obstacles to improving our wellbeing are psychological obstacles.
Not lack of knowledge.
Not lack of effort.
And not lack of willpower.
The real barriers are usually invisible - quietly standing in the background, shaping our habits, our choices and our self-talk. Rarely addressed, but always there. And in midlife, they become impossible to ignore.
When we try to improve our fitness, our diet, our rest and our wellbeing, and we don’t follow through, we often blame ourselves. We tell ourselves we lack discipline, motivation or self-control.
But in reality, the issue is rarely motivation.
It is the psychological barriers underneath it all.
Midlife is often a stage where our roles shift, or dissolve. Questions of meaning become louder and health begins to feel more personal and pressing. This stage of life requires a recalibration.
Using evidence-based positive psychology and a whole-person approach, I support you in;

I run a 5 week, one-to-one programme, The Midlife Reboot. This is where you work with me, a psychologically grounded, results focused coach, to improve your wellbeing. The programme is based around the coaching GROW model and the positive psychology PERMA model.
If you are unsure about committing to a full programme, you can opt instead for a Midlife Reset Session - a one-off themed coaching session. Many clients use this as a starting point before moving on to Midlife Reboot.
I achieved a degree in psychology many years ago, but I did not move into counselling, as I had initially thought I might. It didn’t feel like the right way forward for me. I wanted a more positive, forward-looking approach, one that offered practical solutions and genuinely empowered people.
Years later, I discovered coaching. And that was it.
I finally found what I had been looking for.
I trained as a coach and initially developed a strong interest in time management. This was shaped by losing my husband in 2018 and the profound shift that followed in how I viewed life, time and what truly matters. I became deeply aware of how easily we take time for granted and how intentional we need to be about how we live.
One of the areas I most wanted to invest my time and energy in was my health and wellbeing. It felt more important than ever at this stage of my life.
And yet, it was the one area where I kept “failing”.
I didn’t stick to my plans.
I ate the wrong foods.
I didn’t get outside enough.
I didn’t see any change.
So I began to ask a different question:
What is really stopping me from changing?
My Story
Towards the end of my coaching diploma, I began studying positive psychology and mindset. This is where everything began to make sense.
I started to clearly see the connection between:
Thought patterns
Emotional wellbeing
Habitual behaviour
Motivation
And sustainable change
Positive psychology supports flourishing across five essential areas:
Positive Emotion
Engagement
Relationships
Meaning
Accomplishment
Together, these form the PERMA model - a powerful framework for understanding wellbeing beyond just physical health.
This was the missing piece.
Not more discipline.
Not more pressure.
But a psychologically grounded way of building wellbeing from the inside out.
I now use these principles, alongside mindset coaching, time-wise living and habit science, at the core of my Midlife Reboot programme.

I like to be upfront and transparent about my charges. I want to ensure the program is affordable and achievable. Sessions are by Zoom or Google Meet and prices are as follows:
Midlife Reboot - 5 sessions of 60-90 minutes over 4 weeks - £350
Midlife Reset single session of 90 minutes is £95

In Midlife Reboot, we work together to remove mental and emotional barriers to wellbeing. We use the GROW model and the PERMA model as a framework.
The Midlife Reset session is designed to tackle one particular area that you want to focus on.
Each session is one-to-one and, as is the case for all coaching, it is a client-led experience, where you decide on what topic you want to focus on and I work with you through the GROW process to determine action plans that suit your lifestyle.
